Cleaning Furniture

PAINTED FURNITURE is the easiest to keep clean. We recommend dusting or wiping clean with a dampened cloth. Be careful not to leave water spots on the surface that could dry and leave permanent marks.
For stains, nicks and scratches, gently sand down any marks and try not to sand away much more of the paint than what is necessary. Try to match the paint as best as you can or select a new paint and restore the the piece entirely.

To maintain your LEATHER FURNITURE, we recommend keeping your furniture at least 2 feet away from heat sources and out of direct light to prevent the leather from drying or cracking. You can clean the piece with a soft cloth or a lightly dampened sponge and dust it regularly. If you need to clean your leather furniture, you can use a solution made up of 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 a cup of water. Clean with a soft cloth and then wash with leather saddle soap. Follow by rubbing the piece down with a soft rag.

To care for you UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE, avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent the fabrics from fading. You can vacuum the surfaces weekly to keep it from accumulating debris and flip cushions and pillows regularly so that they wear evenly. You can also apply a spray-on stain repellent for added protection.

The Natural fibers used to make WICKER AND CANE FURNITURE tend to dry out, which makes it necessary to keep them from being exposed to direct sunlight and away from heat sources. We recommend dusting your furniture regularly and vacuuming regularly to get the dust out of the cracks. To make the furniture more pliable you can set it in a bathtub of full warm water or spray it down with a hose which will slow down the splitting or fibers.
