Cleaning Windows

Cleaning your home windows can be a chore. Its recommended that you clean your windows at least twice a year and though its common to use paper towels, newspaper, or any other kinds of paper the easiest way would be to use a simple squeegee and some sprayable glass cleaner.

To clean large picture windows, we recommend using a small amount of dish detergent diluted in a bucket of water to reduce the amount of suds created when washing large surfaces.

When wiping, take your squeegee and start from the top left and pull over the glass pane in a reverse S pattern. Be sure to wipe the squeegee clean after each stroke. Avoid using a rag that might leave lint on the squeegee. You can follow up by wiping the edges of the glass with a slightly damp chamois and dry the windowsill with a rag.

If you have a multi-pane window, you can cut an inexpensive squeegee to fit the pane. Try to make it 1/4 of an inch smaller than the pane.
