Cleaning Your Ceilings
You can easily maintain the cleanliness of your ceilings by removing cobwebs with a vacuum brush attachment or a long-handled mop. For a more thorough clean, you can try out some of our suggestions below.
CLEAN PAINTED CEILINGS: You can wash most painted ceiling surfaces, but some ceilings need special treatment. Try to clean your ceilings first before cleaning an entire room and try to avoid letting drips run down the walls. You can protect your furniture and floors with newspaper or drop-cloths while cleaning. Using sponge mops might help you avoid using ladders.
CLEAN ACOUSTIC FINISHED WALLS: Unfortunately, spray on acoustic finishing cannot be cleaned. If the ceiling becomes dirty, we recommend vacuuming it using a brush attachment and then respraying it.
CEILING TILES: If the tiles are vinyl coated they can be cleaned with an all purpose cleaning solution. Non-washable tiles can be spot cleaned with commercial products found in some hardware stores.
PLASTER: Decorative plaster ceilings are not easily cleaned because they are normally unpainted surfaces with deep texture. The best way to clean it would be to carefully vacuum it with a brush attachment.
